Tallinn Health Care College applied higher education in midwifery and Tallinn University, Master of Arts in Education. I am working East Tallinn Central Hospital, Women’s Clinic, department of labor and antenatal care. As a midwife I have worked in the clinical environment for the last 29 years. 1998-2018 I worked midwives-lecture in Tallinn Health Care College.
In clinical midwifery: my area is parenthood – following a woman during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum period, advise breastfeeding, also advise and prepare her partner for childbirth, advise parent newborn care, support young midwives as a mentor.
Academic degree adult education Master’s Degree “The importance of the code of ethics of midwives in their professional work”. I have been on in international project Increasing Ethical Competence in Midwifery Education and Practice (1.10.2013−30.09.2016).
Today I am Estonian Midwife Association, vice president; Republic of Estonia Ministry of education and research member Health Professional Council commission; Psychosocial (crisis) Counselor Member of the Commission; The University of Tartu member of the Program Council Department of Nursing Science.
